Market continues upward streak; Index rises by 37.85 points with turnover exceeding Rs 1.42 arba; Top gainers list dominated by microfinance companies

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 37.85 points or 2.66 % to close at 1462.23 levels.
Opening at 1424.38 levels this morning, the local bourse was seen fluctuating till the second trading hour of the day and after that it was in upward trend.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.42 arba where more than 22.34 lakhs unit shares were traded 9,192 transactions.
167,481 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB), 151,884 units shares of Nabil Balance Fund (NBF-1) and 85,093 units shares of Nepal Investment Bank Promoter Shares (NIBPO) were traded the most today. Top gainers list was dominated by microfinance companies with 19 companies hitting positive circuit today.
National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL) has the highest turnover of Rs 11.83 crore today through 240 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went up by 8.32 points and 3.16 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production, all sectors in NEPSE landed in green. Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 108.4 points or 1.51% followed by development bank. Development bank sub-index went up by 76.34 points (4.99%).
