Market continues to rise by double digit; Index surges by 25.14 points with turnover exceeding Rs 75.67 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 25.14 points or 1.69% to close at 1516.02 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1490.82 points today and the local bourse was seen in upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood at 75.67 crores in which more than 18.53 lakh units shares were traded with 7,343 transactions.
Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 6.006 crore) while Prabhu Bank Limited Promoter Shares (PRVUPO) was traded the most (2 lakh units) today.
The best performer for the day was Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (VLBS) and Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) hitting almost 10% positive circuit break whereas Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 4.92 points and 1.87 points respectively.
All the indices of nine trading group landed in green at the end of the day with Insurance sector rises the most by 112.73 points.
