Market Closes Slightly Lower: NEPSE Dips to 2,833.60 with Weak Breadth

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a small fall today, falling by 4.18 points (0.14%) to settle at 2,833.60.
The benchmark index opened at 2,842.73 touching an intraday high of 2,849.09, while the lowest point was 2,827.06. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 8.66 Arba, with 20,163,793 shares traded across 342 companies through 101,180 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.32 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.12 Kharba.
National Hydropower Company Limited topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 93.19 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 331.20.
Five companies hit the positive circuit of 10% each that includes SKHL, SKHEL, HFIN, PCIL and RLEL.
Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited recorded the highest fall, falling by 3.60% and the stock closed at Rs. 1,552 points.
Among the sector highest gain is recorded in Hotel and Tourism Index, rising by 1.02% and Lowest fall is recorded in Trading Index, the index fall by 0.21%.
