Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank expands QR code-based payment at Maharajgunj and Naxal of Kathmandu; aims to digitize the local shops and service providers

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has initiated QR code-based payment system at different shops, restaurants and other service providers in Maharajgunj and Naxal of Kathmandu.

The QR codes were handed over to the concerned businesses by Maharajgunj and Naxal branches of the bank. After the new arrangement, customers can pay for their purchases at different shops in the area through their mobile banking services by scanning the bank’s QR code while the merchants can directly receive the funds right at their bank accounts, as per the media statement.

The bank currently has 103 branches across the nation serving 6 lakh customers, as per the media statement.
