Machhapuchchhre Bank establishes branchless banking facilities at 3 locations

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) has brought 3 branchless banking locations into operation.The bank inaugurated branchless banking service in Kanchanpur and Banke districts. These facilities came into operation on Mangsir 26 2074 at Bhimdutta Municipality-16 and Vedpur Municipality-8 and on Mangsir 27 at Baijanath rural council-2. The bank has launched those facilities with the support of UKAID Sakshyam Access to Finance.
With these newly opened facility, the total number of branchless banking facilities of Machhapuchchhre Bank has reached to total 9 such facilities.
Issuing the press statement today, the bank informed that one can use these newly opened facilities to open bank accounts, depositing and withdrawing cash, receiving remittance, applying for credits. The bank has also started the service of opening bank accounts in real time for the first time in Nepal and launched chip based debit cards from its branch offices.
“The bank has been partnering with UKAID Sakshyam for opening 20 more customer service centers in near future. MBL is also committed to provide low income credit facility in 14 districts and conducting financial literacy classes”, added in press statement.
Furthermore, the bank has been providing services with its 62 branch offices, 4 extention counters and 9 branchless banking facilities throughout the nation.
