Life Insurance Corporation’s 15th AGM approves 24.80% bonus share; number of policy holders reaches 6.27 lakh

Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited (LICN) has successfully conducted its 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The AGM has approved the agenda to provide 24.80 percent bonus share and 1.30 percent cash dividend for tax purpose to its shareholders from the profits it earned in the last fiscal year 2072/73.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bijay Kumar Sharma, Chairman of the insurance company said, “The company has helped the country to develop economically and socially. LICN will set an example as a top life insurance company in Nepal.”
The company has been able to add 1,46,713 new policy holders and has earned Rs 2.26 arba in total premium earnings. LICN has also been able to increase its number of policy holders to 6,27,266 and collected Rs 26.49 arba in Insurance Fund till Ashad 2073 end, said a press statement issued by the company.
