Last day to secure 5% bonus share of Surya Life Insurance; Book Closure tomorrow

Today is the last day to clinch 5% stock dividend of Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL). The register of their shareholders will close tomorrow (Chaitra 28, 2073) and today is the last trading day to get hold of the bonus shares. SLICL will be endorsing 5% bonus share and 0.2632% cash dividend to its shareholders from the profits it earned in FY 2071/72 from its 8^th AGM which is going to be held on Baisakh 14, 2074. The company is yet to conduct AGM for the FY 2072/73. Surya Life Insurance Company has reported a net profit of Rs.1.23 crore in the first quarter of the current FY 2073/74. It’s paid up capital after recently issued 25% right share remains at Rs 62.5 crore. After issuance of 5% bonus share, its paid up capital will reach Rs 65.62 crore. As per Insurance Board’s directive for all life insurance companies to increase their paid up capital to a minimum of Rs 2 arba by the end of FY 2074/75, SLICL will need to issue a further capital hike of around 205%.
