Kumari Bank holds AGM

Kumari Bank, that held its 12th annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday, has approved to distribute seven per cent cash dividend. In addition, the meeting unanimously elected Dr Shova Kanta Dhakal and Rasendra Bahadur Malla as directors from the general shareholders group. Noor Pratap JB Rana has been appointed as the chairman of the bank. The bank was able to increase its deposit portfolio by 29 per cent totalling Rs 21.98 billion and loan portfolio by 21 per cent to Rs 18.10 billion in fiscal year 2011-12. Its net profit increased by 9.66 per cent as compared to fiscal year 2010-11. Till mid-December, it collected deposits of Rs 23 billion and its loans and advances stood at Rs 19 billion loan, which is a growth of 17 per cent and 15 per cent respectively.
