Koshi State Government Announces Budget Ordinance

Today, the Koshi state government introduced a budget ordinance. After his reappointment as Chief Minister, Hikmat Kumar Karki swiftly made this decision during the very first meeting and enacted the ordinance.
The Koshi Province Economic Chapter and the Koshi Province Allocation Ordinance, recommended by the government, were officially issued by State Chief Parashuram Khapung.
Chief Minister Karki assumed office on Friday evening and wasted no time in deciding to implement the ordinance on the same day.
Previously, a budget ordinance introduced by the Karki-led government on Jestha 32 had become inactive on Bhadra 10. As a result of this inactivity, the state's budget was reduced to zero. However, with the re-promulgation of the ordinance, the era of a zero budget state has come to an end.
