Know what happened in Share Market today

NEPSE index had declined by double figures yesterday, but today it has gained 8.70 points or 0.68%. The market had opened at 1,287.93 which climbed upto 1,306.03 at around 1:53 PM but then it declined in the second half and closed at 1,296.18 in green.
Total turnover worth Rs 47.9 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 14.4 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 5,568 transactions were made for the transaction of the scrips.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.52 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Nepal Credit & Commercial Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (NCCBPO) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 80 thousand unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SLBS) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 9.98 %. And, Oriental Hotels Limited (OHL) was the top loser of the day losing 9.92% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors except Hotels and Others inclined and landed in green zone. Hotel sector was the loser of the day losing 69.58 points and Insurance was the top gainer for the day gaining 34.97 points.
