Khalti Partners with City Express for Online Money Transfer Service; transforming the remittance disbursement channel of Nepal with online transfers

Khalti Digital Wallet has signed an agreement with City Express Money Transfer to provide online money transfer services to its users across Nepal. Amit Agrawal, Director of Khalti and Chandra Tandan, Managing Director of City Express signed a partnership agreement amidst a ceremony at City Express’s head office in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
With this partnership, Khalti users can easily transfer money online to their friends and relatives across Nepal using Khalti app in a few clicks on their phone. Khalti’s remittance feature helps to find a convenient location among 7500+ City Express Money Transfer agents across Nepal, and check the remit status of the amount they sent. After the successful transfer, a PIN is generated automatically and sent to the recipient's mobile number through SMS. Recipients can visit the specific City Express agent and show the PIN to collect money.
Speaking about the agreement for domestic money transfer service, Khalti’s Director Amit Agrawal shared,
“We are in rapid expansion mode of remittance service in Khalti’s platform. We are glad to sign this MoU with City Express to enable our customers to transfer money directly from their wallet to any corner across Nepal. With this partnership, Khalti has taken another step ahead towards its mission of simplifying people's lives with digital financial services. We will be adding many more remittance companies to our platform soon.”
Similarly, Chandra Tandan, Managing Director of City Express Money Transfer shared,
