Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta's Fifth Annual General Meeting Showcases Diverse Community Programs

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JBLB) recently marked its 5th AGM with a range of diverse programs. The institution, focused on improving living standards, operates financial services through 160 branches across 24 districts. During the AGM, programs were organized at 163 locations, as stated by Sanjay Kumar Mandal, the Chief Executive Officer.

The festival activities included educational material and dustbin distribution, quiz competitions, market and temple cleaning by various branches. Additionally, 15 branches volunteered for house construction, 15 branches engaged in tree plantation, and 7 branches provided assistance to extremely impoverished families.

The microfinance branches also conducted various social initiatives, such as food and fruit distribution, health camps, educational material distribution for orphans and impoverished students, blood donation drives, and inaugurating study centers for boys and girls.

Notably, the Biratnagar branch of Life Development undertook a house construction project for a female head of a disadvantaged family in Barju Rural Municipality-2 of Sunsari. The project involved voluntary contributions from members of the 3 Zero Club, which was formed by the microfinance institution, including the CEO Sanjay Kumar Mandal, Deputy CEO Damodar Regmi, microfinance staff, local representatives, and community members.
