IPO Proposals of These 2 Companies Finally Approved by SEBON

The Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved the proposed IPO issue of Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited. The proposal was approved on Chaitra 25.

The company will now issue 25,00,000 equity shares at a par value NPR 100 each. The amount of the issue is Rs.25 Crore. This is 25% of the company's issued capital.

Sanima Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the proposed IPO issuance.

Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited was incorporated on 2057/09/03 to develop, operate and maintain 15.4 MW project through the corridor of Rudi Khola compromising two cascade projects of Rudi A (8.8 MW) and Rudi B (6.6 MW). The authorized share capital of BHDC is 200 Crores.

Rudi Khola-A Small Hydropower Project (8.8 MW) is located at Mijuredanda VDC of Kaski district. The elaborate business experience and technical knowledge within the company resulted in the completion of first project of RUDI A (8.8 MW) in 2018. Likewise, Rudi Khola B Small Hydropower project (6.6 MW) is a run-of-river type of project located just upstream of panned Rudi-A Small Hydropower Project. Major part of Rudi-B Small Hydropower Project is located in Lamjung district at Pasgaun VDC.

Similarly, SEBON has also approved the IPO proposal of Dordi Khola Jalbidhyut Co. Ltd.

The company will now issue 29,51,929 unit shares and raise Rs. 29,51,92,900. This is 28% of the issued capital.

Siddhartha Capital has been appointed the issue manager. SEBON approved the IPO issue on Chaitra 28.

Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Ltd (DKJBCL), is a public company incorporated on Falgun 14, 2066 (February 26, 2010) as per Companies Act 2063, Nepal with the objective to develop and invest in hydropower projects. It is currently developing a 12 MW Dordi-1 Hydroelectric Project in Lamjung District and owns its generation license. The project is located in Dordi Gaupalika-6, Lamjung. Its registered office is located at Kathmandu -11, Bluestar Complex, Tripureshor. Lamjung Electricity Development Company Limited (LEDCO) holds 84.95% ownership in the company.
