Investors lap up Development Bank shares, trading reaches 27%; NEPSE surges 3.5 points

NEPSE moved up by 3.5 points of 0.36 percent today to close at 984.51 level.
Also the index of Sensitive and Float has surged by 0.57 point and 0.27 point to close at 209.70 and 68.94 levels respectively.
With increase in the NEPSE index, the total turnover has also surged today recording the total of Rs 359.44 million.
Increase in the participation of buying investors was seen in market as the trading of shares of LICN, NLIC and CHCL were maximum today.
Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 1.15 point or 0.13 percent to stand at 867.29 level.
Development (818.15), Insurance (4187.97) and Manufacturing (15.56) has managed to gain double digit of 10.39 points, 19.7 points and 15.56 points respectively.
However Hotels (2048.63) and HydroPower (2316.47) has plunged by meager 5.08 points and 1.21 point respectively.
Whereas Finance (529.96) and Others (741.32) has gained 3.26 points and 4.7 points respectively.
Mainly Development Banks were the top gainers of the day where Sindhu Bikash, Karnali Development, Matribhumi Development, Kakre Bihari and Malika Bikash Bank were the major gaining scrips.
Altogether 1,033,874 unit shares of 155 scrips were traded through 2,484 transactions worth Rs 359.44 million.
