On behalf of the Independent Capital Reform Association, a meeting was conducted this morning at the residence of former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Hon'ble Bishnu Prasad Poudel to take essential steps to address the present challenges in Nepal's capital market.
Chairman Sushil Lunia, Patron Upendra Pathak, Senior investor Dipendra Agrawal, Deputy Secretary of the association Shirish Acharya, and Young investor Saroj Lamichhane briefed the former Finance Minister on the agitation's demands, which included an investor hunger strike.
Former Finance Minister claimed that the stock market was a reflection of the nation's economy. Stock market-friendly policies were implemented during Poudel's tenure, and the market hit its all-time high during his tenure. He also stated that he was closely monitoring current capital market movements and pledged to take the required actions in the relevant bodies.
