Insurance Index reaches at all-time high as investors flock towards insurance companies; Turnover exceeds Rs 1.29 arba

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 8.84 points or 0.54% to close at 1645.03 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1636.19 points and local bourse was seen in upward trend. The charm towards insurance sector has been rising as many insurance company has already published their capital plan.
Over 25.35 lakh units shares were traded today from 9,600 different transactions. This accounted for a significant increase in turnover above Rs 1.29 crore.
Prabhu Insurance Company Limited (PRIN) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 9.56 crore) while Laxmi Value Fund-1 (LVF-1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (393,100 units).
The best performer for the day was Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL), Reliable Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RMFL), NB Insurance Company Limited (NBIL) and Progressive Finance Company Limited (PROFL) whereas Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.01 points and 0.49 points respectively.
Except Banking and Hydropower sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the growth of 309.89 points.
