Influx of dividend announcements uplifts market by 4.51 points; Turnover exceeds to Rs 81.51 crore

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 4.51 points or 0.28% to settle at 1622.32 points. Today Nepse Index opened at 1617.86 points and the local bourse went up to 1627.92 points in the first trading hour of the day, after that, it was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above 81.51 crore in which more than 27.26 lakh units shares were traded 10,275 transactions. Manual turnover of Rs 49.43 lakh was seen today. index Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 5.52 crore) while Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1) among the most traded shares (6.16 lakhs unit) today. The best performer of the day were Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (SLBBL), Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL), Srijana Finance Limited (SFFIL), Summit Microfinance Development Bank Limited (SMFDB) and Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL) hitting 10% positive circuit break while General Finance Limited (GFL) and Nabil Balanced Fund-1 (NBF1) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index slightly went up by 0.8 points and 0.43 points respectively. Except Finance, Insurance and others, all sectors at Nepse landed in green.
