Increase in Operating Costs Affects Profitability of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower for Q1; Net Profit Declines by 7.24%

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) has published the unaudited first-quarter report for FY 2079/2080. As per the report, the company has reported a Net profit of Rs. 79.77 Crores, which has declined by 7.24% as compared to previous quarter.

The company’s paid-up capital remains at Rs. 10.59 Arba. Similarly, the company has a negative reserve of Rs 1.94 arba.

The company made a sale of electricity worth Rs. 3.56 Arba, which has inclined by 106.15% for the Q1 of FY 79/80, where as the company reported finance income of Rs. 30.50 Lakhs.

Likewise, the operating expenses has also increased for this period. The company reported Administrative and Project Expenses of  Rs. 11.18 Crores which has increased by 299.19%. The royalty expenses has also increased for this quarter by 136.32, both of which have affected the net profit of the company for Q1.

The EPS of the company stood at Rs. 30.13 and Net worth per share stood at Rs. 81.59
