Incline in Operating Cost Affects the Profitability of Arun Kabeli Power Limited for Q1; Net Profit Falls by 28.04%

Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) has reported a fall in net profit by 28.04% in the first quarter (Q1) of the current FY 2079/80. The profit decreased to Rs. 9.74 crores in this quarter from Rs. 13.5 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

AKPL has sold electricity worth Rs. 27.51 crores in Q1 which is an incline of 3.11%. As per the report published by company, the administrative expenses has increased by huge margin of 608.97% in this quarter, which has also impacted the overall profitability of the company for Q1.

Its reserve fund stands at Rs. 30.80 crores with share capital at Rs 1.85 Arba. With this capital, the annualized earning per share stands of AKPL stands at Rs. 21.01. The net worth per share at Rs 116.61 and the P/E ratio stood at 18 times.
