ICRA Nepal has released a document stating the major highlights of this year's Monetary Policy published by Nepal Rastra Bank along with its comments.

ICRA Nepal has observed that the introduction of countercyclical buffer and other liquidity management norms are likely to curb banking sector growth. Similarly, it has also recognized the change in interest spread calculation norms to dampen the profitability of the banking sector.
