HoR Endorses Proposal on Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill

The House of Representatives (HoR) has approved a proposal seeking consideration on the ‘Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill-2082’.

During today’s HoR meeting, the proposal presented by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle was unanimously endorsed.

Lawmakers including Ashok Chaudhary, Sushil Khadka, Yubraj Dulal, Krishna Hari Budhathoki, Khusbu Oli, Samikshya Baskota, Ganesh Karki, Lima Adhikary Acharya, Nitima Bhandari Karki, Toshima Karki and Shulav Kharel, participated in the discussion on the proposal.

Addressing concerns raised during the deliberations, Finance Minister Wagle said the bill was introduced to meet the growing demand for development and infrastructure financing through alternative funding sources.

He stated that the proposed legislation would enhance investment returns by integrating multiple financing mechanisms and would also contribute to strengthening good governance in line with the government’s commitments.
