Himalayan Bank organizes financial literacy program at Madi and Pakhribas Municipality; reaches out to 70 plus rurals on banking literacy

Himalayan Bank Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility has conducted financial literacy program at Madi Municipality on Mangsir 24, 2079 and at Pakhribas Municipality on Mangsir 25, 2079. The program was conducted by Province 1 Office, HBL located at Biratnagar in co-ordination with Madi an Hile Branch.

The program was attended by more than 70 participants that includes ward chairperson with other members, representatives of political parties, teachers, education department head, businessmen, students and women of the area.

In the program, the Bank highlighted on banking, importance of financial literacy, financial management and preparation of personal or family related budget, importance of developing saving attitude, Subsidized Loan and subsidy provided on that loan, Hundi and its negative impacts, clean note policy and better ways to handle cash, etc.

Mr. Jiban Kumar Lingthep, Mayor, Madi Municipality and Mr. Gyan Bahadur Gurung, Mayor, Pakhribas Municipality were invited as the chief guest in the financial literacy program organized at Madi Municipality and Pakhribas Municipality respectively. Similarly, Mr. Amrit Malla, Province Head, Province 1 of Himalayan Bank Limited along with other staffs of the Bank were present in the program.
