Hem Bahadur Karki Resigns as Independent Director a Day After CEO’s Exit

Asian Life Insurance Company Limited has officially accepted the resignation of Independent director Hem Bahadur Karki, a day after Chief Executive Officer Dinesh lal Shrestha stepped down.

Karki submitted his resignation on Monday, which was approved by the company’s board of directors at a meeting held on Tuesday. He cited his busy schedule as the reason for his departure.

Karki was appointed as a director on Ashar 30, 2082, and resigned after around 15 months in the role.

Meanwhile, CEO Shrestha resigned just 21 months into his second term. The board approved his resignation on Monday, effective from Tuesday.
