Heavy Rain Causes Road Closures and Traffic Disruptions in Kathmandu Valley

Due to the rain since last night, road traffic has been stopped in places including the river corridor. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has requested to use alternative roads as there are obstacles in the management of roads within the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the office, relentless rainfall has led to road closures and disruptions in various parts of the Kathmandu Valley. The following areas are currently facing obstructions:
- Roads under Kupandol bridge
- Roads under Balkhu bridge
- Sanepa Kalo Pool area
- Kuleshwor-Sanepa route
- Tankeshwar-Paropkar route
- Dhalku bridge vicinity
- Bhatkeko Pool area
- Rato Pool passage
- Seto Pool route
- Kalo Pool surroundings
Moreover, the office has reported that due to the increased water flow in the Guheshwari-Gaurighat corridor, Kapan, Dakshindhoka slope bridge, UN bridge, and Khare Khola corridor, the traffic management has been severely affected.
Commuters are advised to exercise caution and adhere to the instructions provided by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
