Growth In Business Volume Reflects In Overall Profitability of Mero Microfinance In Q1

Mero Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (MERO) has published its first quarterly report of FY 2078/2079 with an increase in Net Profit by a massive 297.78%. The company's net profit increased to Rs. 12.85 crores as compared to Rs. 3.23 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The borrowing of the company has increased to Rs. 10.83 Arba by 91.20% while deposits have increased by 47.75% to Rs. 2.68 Arba in the current quarter. Similarly, the company has floated loans of Rs. 15.27 Arba till the first quarter of the fiscal year 2078/2079.
The net interest income of the company has increased by 140.94% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year and stood at Rs. 27.19 crores in Q1, 2078/2079.
Mero Microfinance's paid-up capital stood at Rs. 1.00 Arba with a reserve and surplus of Rs. 95.58 crores till the first quarter of the fiscal year 2078/2079.
Its annualized earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs. 51.42 and net worth per share stood at Rs. 195.58. The company’s non-performing loan stood at 4.96%. The company traded at a PE multiple of 27.03 times till this quarter-end.
