Government to Issue Land Ownership Certificates to 500,000 Families in FY 2025/26
The government has announced its plan to distribute land ownership certificates to 500,000 families in the upcoming Fiscal Year 2025/26. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel made the announcement during his budget speech.
Minister Paudel emphasized that amendments to land-related laws will permanently address the challenges faced by landless Dalits, squatters, and informal settlers. “Within the upcoming fiscal year, land ownership certificates will be provided to 500,000 families, ensuring their legal rights to land,” he stated.
