The government has directed all ministries, commissions, government offices, and provincial offices to reduce unnecessary spending while purchasing goods and services.

Through a recent instruction, the government asked public bodies to avoid buying extra items unless they are urgently needed. Offices have also been encouraged to continue using existing furniture, vehicles, and other materials instead of making new purchases.

The directive has been sent to ministries, commissions, government offices, and the Offices of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers as part of efforts to maintain financial discipline and control public expenditure.
