Garima Bikas Bank opens 38th branch in Birgha, Syangja

Garima Bikas Bank Limited has opened its 38th branch in Birgha, Syangja. Mr. Shivanath Pandey, ex-executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurated the new branch. Issuing a press statement, the development bank said that the new branch at Birgha will act as a center for providing banking services in Krishna Gandaki, Birgha, Chandi bhanjyang, Palpa and Gulmi. Garima Bikas Bank Limited had merged with Nilgiri Bikas Bank and Subhechha Bikas Bank to form a national level development bank. The bank aims to open new branches in Lazimpat, Chabahil, Kalanki in Kathmandu, Gagangauda in Kaski, Manigram and Khaireni, Tamghas and in Kapilbastu in the near future. The development bank has collected deposits worth Rs 13.37 arba and has disbursed Rs 12 arba in loans till the end of second quarter this year. The bank has been able to earn an operating profit of Rs 25.7 crore this year so far, added the statement.
