Gandaki Bikas Bank inaugurates its Samakhusi branch

The Kathmandu branch of Gandaki Bikas bank (GDBL) has formally been inaugurated by Mr. ShivaRaj Shrestha, deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. Mr. Shrestha congratulated the bank for its financial excellence and for being able to establish itself as one of the leading financial institutions of the nation. Addressing the inaugural event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank Mr. Resham Bahadur Thapa highlighted the services that the bank has been providing and the future course of actions that the bank intends to pursue. The event was also attended by the mayor of Tokha municipality Mr. Prakash Adhikari and the chairman of the Nepal Development Bankers Association Mr. Bharatraj Dhakal; both of whom extended their best wishes for further progress of the bank. The program was hosted by the assistant CEO Mr. Samir Sekhar Bajracharya. Gandaki Bikas Bank has actively been collecting deposits, mobilizing the loans, providing loan against gold, extending micro-finance service, remittance and all other banking facilities from its date of establishment. The bank has collected deposit of 19.34 Arab and mobilized the credits of 16.55 Arab in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2074-75. The bank is operating through its 54 branch offices including the head office. It has been providing facilities of attractive interest to the deposits, easy credit dispersement in cheaper rates, locker service, loan without mortgage, remittance and other banking services. The head office and few of the branch offices provides banking facilities throughout 365 days. The bank has also been providing credit facilities to the people under low income category and also microcredit facilities to those involved in cooperatives.
