Gaining market starts losing in the last half hour and closes to lose 1.08 points; more than 10 thousand transactions processed to post a turnover of Rs.1.13 Arba

The market today, that had gained around 16 points at its highest, stood to lose 0.09% or 1.08 points and closed at 1215.16 points. The turnover today was of Rs.1.13 Arba which was achieved from trade of 2,872,551 units of shares traded through 10,406 transactions trading scrips of 174 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover after it posted a turnover of Rs.14.86 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.1155 per share. Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of shares traded after 265,409 units of shares were traded today. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.310 per share.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) was today’s top gainer after it gained 9.03% or 174 points to close at Rs.2100 per share. Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) was today’s top loser after it lost 6.66% or 1 point to close at Rs.10.08 per unit.

Sensitive Index lost 0.15 points and closed at 258.66 points while Float Index lost 0.20 points and closed at 88.36 points.

Manufacturing & Products, Others and Life Insurance were the only sectors among gaining sub-indices, gaining 0.86%, 1.51% and 2.78% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices lost points ending in the red zone. Hotels were the top losers after they lost 3.57% or 63.63 points.
