Four Directors Resign from HRL Board of Directors; Two Appointed to Leadership Roles

Himalayan Re-Insurance Limited has officially announced a significant reshuffle of its Board of Directors following a board meeting held on October 21, 2021 (Kartik 4, 2078 BS). The company has formally notified both the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) regarding these leadership changes.

During the meeting, the board accepted the resignations of four prominent members. The outgoing directors include Mr. Amit More (representing Shareholder Group ‘A’), Mr. Rajiv More and Ms. Subhechha Kharel (both representing Shareholder Group ‘B’), and Mr. Subhash Kumar Jhunjhunwala, who served as an Independent Director.

To fill the vacancies and ensure continuity in governance, the board has appointed two new directors who will serve until the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Mr. Dipak Kumar Mishra joins the board representing Shareholder Group ‘A’ via Shree Kalika Fincorp Pvt. Ltd., while Mr. Ashish Chandra Neupane has been appointed as the new Independent Director.

This reconstitution marks a strategic transition for the reinsurer as it prepares for its next phase of corporate operations and regulatory compliance.
