First trading day of the week concludes in red; tanks 10.28 points with turnover worth 42.5 crore

NEPSE index has declined today by 10.28 points or 0.76%. The market today had opened at 1,348.48 points, which slanted downwards throughout the day and ultimately landed in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 42.52 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 10.07 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 6,588 transactions.

Siddhartha Bank (SBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 6.47 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, SBL was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 1.94 lakh unit shares were exchanged.


Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Himlayan Distillery Limited (HDL) whose price increased by 9.95% closing at Rs. 1,216. And, Kisan Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (KMFL) was the top loser of the day losing 5.76% on its price.


The sub-indices for all the sectors except Hotels, Others and Manufacturing & processing declined and closed in red today. The top losing sector was Insurance, tumbling by 69.96 points. Similarly, Manufacturing & processing gained the most climbing by 25.61 points.
