First Trading Day After Tihar: NEPSE Closes at 1,874.87 After Gaining 16.39 Points, Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 69.73 Crores

The NEPSE index closed at 1,874.87 today after gaining 16.39 points from last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.88%. The index had gained 14.35 points last trading day before Tihar.

The index opened at 1,860.39 and made intraday low at 1,856.93. It ultimately closed at intraday high of 1,874.87.

224 scrips traded hands via 17,748 transactions. A total of 2,574,975 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 69.73 Crores in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 51.68 Crores.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.17 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 660 per share. The shares of NIC Asia Balanced Fund (NICBF) traded the most.

Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) gained the highest 10% and hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) lost 8.16% today.

Only one sector closed red, "Development Bank" lost 0.39% while "Hotels And Tourism" gained the highest 1.65%.
