Finance Sector Dominates Trading Session, NEPSE Gains 49.19 Points and Closes at 2,834.13

The NEPSE index closed at 2,834.13 today after gaining 49.19 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 1.77% on the index. The index had gained 19.43 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,792.63 and created the intraday low at 2,771.64. While it went as high as 2,847.28, it ultimately closed at 2,834.13.

232 scrips traded hands via 77,015 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 11,970,215 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.724 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 7.123 Arba. Nonetheless, this week's intraday turnover has been promising so far, although we have only been three trading sessions into the week.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.83 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 510.90 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) traded the most.

A total of five companies gained 10%, hence hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) lost the highest 3.52%, hence closing at Rs. 1,177.

Only "Manufacturing And Processing" lost a minimal 0.43%. Meanwhile, the "Finance" index gained the highest 6.15%.
