Finance Minister Optimistic as Economic Indicators Improve

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat expressed optimism about the country's economic trajectory, asserting that positive indicators signify an upswing in Nepal's economic landscape. Speaking to the media at Bharatpur Airport, Minister Mahat dispelled the notion of a bleak economic future, stating that the negative publicity discouraging investment in Nepal has ceased.
"An environment conducive to investment has been established in the country, despite attempts to disrupt the investment climate. The economy is now in a comfortable state," emphasized Minister Mahat, highlighting the resilience against efforts to undermine economic prospects.
According to the Finance Minister, investor confidence is on the rise, and he conveyed a positive outlook for the future, urging individuals to invest without hesitation. He reassured that the government is committed to policies that promote investment in profitable industries.
Minister Mahat noted the gradual rebound of the share market, a significant influx of tourists to Nepal, and an improvement in the real estate business. Emphasizing the potential for profit in infrastructure investments, he encouraged focusing on this sector.
Specifically, Mahat called for increased investment in the tourism sector, citing its immense potential. He also commended the recent decisions of the Nepal Rastra Bank, stating that they have addressed the concerns of entrepreneurs.
