Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada calls meeting of Financial Sector Management Committee; look at the major decisions made

On March 25, 2020 a meeting was held between the top officials of financial sector management committee which was convened by Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada.

The major decisions that came out of the meeting was regarding the relaxation to pay interest and principal on loans taken from banking and non-banking financial institutions till the end of the month of Chaitra.

The meeting also concluded that sectors like banking, insurance, securities, company registration, deposits and loan advancement to continue function with adequate degree of caution and safety.

As per SEBON, the securities market has been completely shut for five days due to which the decisions made by the committee have caused some confusion.
