NEPSE Index Falls by 9.70 Points to Close at 2,767.20; Hotels And Tourism Index Gains Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 9.70 points (0.34%) to settle at 2,767.20. This follows a 6.51 -point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2773.37 touching an intraday high of 2,783.02, while the lowest point was 2,766.64. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.20 Arba, with 15,266,617 shares traded across 323 companies through 53,853 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.20 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.65 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.25.09 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,569.90
Bikash Hydropower Company Limited (BHCL) led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.
Meanwhile, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Ltd (PMHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.03%.
Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 2.03%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 1.06%.
