Finance Minister Dr Khadiwada presenting budget

Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada has begun presenting the budget of upcoming fiscal year 2020/2021 at the joint session of the federal parliament today.

The meeting is organized maintaining the social distancing in view of the COVID-19.
This is the third time Minister Khatiwada is presenting the annual budget.

He announced that a 300-bed hospital would be developed in Kathmandu for the treatment of infectious disease in the upcoming fiscal year. High-tech labs would be established in all State capitals and the budget has been allocated accordingly, the Finance Minister announced.

Minister Dr Khatiwada said that the annual budget of the Ministry of Health and Population is increased to 90.69 billion. He is presenting the budget now.

BUDGET SIZE: 14.74 KHARBA

Current expenditure: 9.48 kharba

Capital expenditure: 3.52 kharba

Tax Revenue collection: 8.89 kharba

Foreign aid: 60.52 arba

Foreign loan: 2.99 kharba

Internal Debt: 2.25 kharba
