Minister for Finance, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, has emphasized the need to extend the network of women entrepreneurs' special industrial parks throughout the country.

During a program organized by the South Asian Forum for Women Development today, Minister Mahat revealed that the construction of the park had already progressed, and activities associated with it would be given high priority.

It's noteworthy that in a Cabinet meeting held on June 7 this year, a decision was made to transform the industrial village in Panchkhal Municipality into a specialized industrial park for women entrepreneurs, with the aim of fostering entrepreneurial development within this demographic.

Minister Mahat stated, "The construction work for the Women's Industrial Park is already underway. Its progress is unstoppable. While it might appear as a simple project at first glance, it holds a profound concept. The network of such parks should proliferate across the entire nation."

The Finance Minister expressed his confidence that this park would facilitate job creation and boost domestic production. Recognizing the growing role of women in shaping both rural and modern economies, the Minister asserted that the State had aligned its policies to promote their involvement.

He further added that women's active participation in various small-scale industries across the country was evident. "Locally produced goods are being exported, and women's engagement in the information technology sector is on the rise. Women should harness the potential of information technology to market their products," he remarked.

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, in collaboration with Panchkhal Municipality and the South Asian Forum for Women Development, is undertaking the establishment of this park. The initial phase will witness the creation of 50 small-scale industries focusing on agricultural production and tourism-centric services, operating under a public-private model. The essence of the content remains unaltered.
