Finance Committee asks Rastra Bank to present policies to avoid liquidity problems within 7 days

The finance committee of the House of Representatives has directed Nepal Rastra Bank to present the plans made for avoiding the problems related to liquidity with 7 days.

Along with the policies, the committee has also asked Rastra Bank to present various data of the banks and financial institutions. The committee has asked the central bank to provide data regarding the area wise status of investment of the banks, average period of the loans and deposits and the condition of the banks and financial institutions in various levels (provincial and local level).

Similarly, the committee has also demanded the presumed date as of when the banks will establish their branches in the local level. Rastra Bank will also be required to submit the data regarding the maximum limit of interest rates charged on loans and provided on deposits.
