Federal Parliament’s Both Houses to Convene Today; Budget Principles and Draft Report on Agenda
A joint session of both Houses of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to take place today.
The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting will be held at 11:00 am, followed by the National Assembly session at 1:15 pm, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
In today’s HoR agenda, Chair of the House of Representatives Rules of Procedure Drafting Committee Ganesh Parajuli will present a proposal seeking consideration of the committee’s report. Following this, deliberations will begin on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2083/84, excluding tax-related proposals, said General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Padam Prasad Pandey.
Similarly, the National Assembly is also set to start discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill linked to the upcoming budget estimates for the same fiscal year.
