Dialogue between government and agitating Madhesi parties postponed

The talks scheduled to hold between the government and the United Democratic Madhesi Front has postponed at the eleventh hour.
The meeting was postponed as the UDMF disagreed to sit for talks unless the arrested cadres were released. Today's meeting was expected to find out a solution through talks as ongoing Terai protest has adversely affected the normal life.
Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma said that the today's scheduled meeting was postponed due to UDMF's decision though the government was committed to resolving the crisis through dialogue.
The meeting was scheduled to hold at 1:00 pm today.
However, UDMF leader Laxman Lal Karna said that they had informed the government that they wouldn't sit for dialogue unless their arrested cadres were released.
He added that they were also eager to seek solutions of the ongoing agitation through dialogues but government arrested their leaders and cadres, creating unease environment to sit for talks. RSS
