Despite a rough beginning, NEPSE closes to gain 11.74 points; CIT and JSLBB hit the positive circuit today

The market that opened with a technical issue, stood to gain exactly 1% or 11.74 points and closed at 1186.80 points. Today’s turnover of Rs.26.81 Crore was achieved from trade of 805,601 units of shares traded through 3,625 transactions trading scrips of 158 listed companies in the process. However, the mistrade of Upper Tamakoshi is also included in today's gain. Considering the same, the index had an actual gain of 6-7 points.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) continues to dominate the turnover and shares traded list after it posted a turnover of Rs.4.72 Crore achieved through trade of 158,741 units of shares. The LTP of the bank had fallen to Rs.297 per share.
After the cancellation of Upper Tamakoshi’s transactions, two companies went on to hit the positive circuit. Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) gained 9.97% or 237 points and closed at Rs.2613 per share and Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta (JSLBB) gained 9.72% or 258 points to close at Rs.2913 per share. Bank of Kathmandu Limited (BOKL) was today’s top loser after it lost 5.05% or 15 points to close at Rs.274 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 1.08 points and closed at 250.49 points while Float Index gained 0.83 points and closed at 86.23 points.
Banking sector became the only sub-index to lose points today. It lost 0.11% or 1.09 points. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points. The section shows Hydropower gained the most today but it may not be accurate as it includes 50% gain in Upper Tamakoshi’s share price.
