Daily Summary: NEPSE Spirals Down Closing at 2,238.62 With Turnover of Rs 1.65 arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,238.62 today after losing 37.06 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.63%. The index had lost 31.76 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,275.43 points and remained constant at that level. It then made the intraday low at 2,225.79 and closed at 2,238.62. NEPSE's downward trend continues. This is the lowest closing price since 10th January 2021.
232 scrips traded hands via 34,260 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,674,940 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.654 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.269 Arba.
Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.45 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 582 per share. The shares of Nepal Credit & Commercial Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (NCCBPO) traded the most.
Only eight companies gained today, with Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gaining the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.
On the other side of things, Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) lost the highest 6.86% today.
All sector indices close red. "Finance" lost the highest 2.93 % while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.85%
