Daily Summary: NEPSE Gains 17.95 Points First Day of the Week; Recovered 52.2 Points from Indra day Low

The NEPSE index closed at 2,256.57 today after gaining 17.95 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.80%. The index had lost 37.06 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,238.81 points and made the intraday low at 2,204.37. It then made the intraday high at 2,256.64 and closed at 2,256.57.

233 scrips traded hands via 27,229 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,341,214 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.326 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.654 Arba.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) had the highest turnover of Rs. 7.53 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,738 per share. The shares of NMB Bank Limited Promoter Share (NMBPO) traded the most.

Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things,Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) lost the highest 4.92% today.

Eleven of thirteen sectors closed green, "Finance" gained the highest 3.35% while "Banking" lost the highest 0.17%
