Daily Summary: NEPSE Continues Falling Spree, Fell 0.34% To Limit Intraday Turnover To Rs. 1.078 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,130.71 today after losing 7.21 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.34%. The index had lost 35.53 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,138.06 points and made intraday high at 2,154.58. It then made intraday low at 2,119.41 and closed at 2,130.71.

227 scrips traded hands via 23,134 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,020,067 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.078 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.317 Arba.

Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIB) traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 12.13 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 307.

Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) gained highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Shikhar Insurance Co. Ltd. (SICL) lost all 10% today. The company has notified today that it is not giving any dividend from the profit of last FY. 

Only three sector indices closed green, "HydroPower" gained the highest 0.68% while "Trading" lost the highest 1.83%.
