The NEPSE index closed at 2,356.17 today after losing 20 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.84%. The index had gained 5.17 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,380.16 today and made the intraday high at 2,390.11 . It then made the intraday low at 2,351.57 and closed at 2,356.17.
226 scrips traded hands via 28,912 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,574,520 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.496 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.089 Arba.
IME General Insurance Ltd. (IGI) had the highest turnover of Rs. 5.25 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 544 per share. Nepal Credit And Commercial Bank Limited (NCCB) traded the most.
Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gained 9.99% and technically hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.
On the other side of things, Guheshowori Merchant Bank & Finance Co. Ltd. (GMFIL) lost the highest 3.98% today.
All sector indices close red. "Development " lost the highest 1.77 % while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.19%.
