Cooperatives in Rupandehi collect Rs. 3.07 billion in deposits

The cooperatives that are providing various services in Rupandehi district have collected deposits amounting to Rs 3.07 billion.

According to the District Office of the Division Cooperatives, Rupandehi, all the cooperatives have been operating their services in the district have invested Rs 6.23 billion. They have a total of 137,325 share members. Of them, 92,884 are men and 44,441 women.

There are 57 cooperatives run under women's leadership and as many as 1,059 people are employed in them, the Office stated.

Of the total cooperatives in the district, 354 are savings and credit cooperatives while 120 are agricultural cooperatives.
