Chilime to construct 5 new hydropower projects totaling 950 MW

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) is going to construct 5 hydropower projects with total installed capacity of 950 MW. The hydropower company has applied to Department of Electricity Development, Ministry of Energy to seek approval for survey licenses for the projects. CHCL is seeking licenses to construct a 270 MW and a 420 MW Budhigandaki Hydropower project, 165 MW Seti-3 and two projects in Dudhkoshi with installed capacities of 46 MW and 48 MW. Currently, Chilime is constructing 111 MW Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project, 42.5 MW Sanjen Hydroelectric Project, 14.8 MW Upper Sanjen, and 102 MW Middle Bhote Koshi Hydropower projects through its respective subsidiary companies. Both Rasuwagadhi and Sanjen Hydropower Company are seeking approval from SEBON to issue IPO shares to the employees of promoter companies, lender institutions and members of Employee Provident Fund.
