Chilime Hydropower posts net profit of Rs 69.94 crore in Q3; EPS at Rs 27

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) has earned net profit of Rs 69.94 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2073/74. The profit of the hydropower company has slightly dropped in this quarter. The profit figure stood at Rs 70.46 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. As per the unaudited financial statement published today, the hydropower company’s income from electricity sales increased meagerly to Rs 84.65 crore from Rs 82.71 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Its interest income has dropped to Rs. 2.73 crore from Rs. 5.61 crore in this period. However, its investments have increased to Rs 5.55 arba from Rs 4.43 arba posted last year. Chilime’s reserve fund has increased to Rs. 4.66 arba in the third quarter, up from Rs. 4.27 arba in the corresponding quarter. As of the end of Q3 this year, its annualized Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at Rs 27.04, P/E ratio at 33 times and net worth at Rs. 235.40 per share. Chilime Hydropower’s paid up capital has increased to Rs 3.44 arba after it distributed 10% bonus share for the FY 2072/73.
